CrossFit Level 1 TrainerAs a young child I played lots of sports but by middle school I had fallen in love with swimming. I swam competitively until 11th grade. In 11th grade I found myself burned out so I joined the cross country team and grew to love running as much as I had loved swimming. In college and after, I was a triathlete and also a competitive windsurfer. (I lived in South Florida!) I stayed busy as a Special Olympics swim coach, a Water Safety Instructor, and a race director for triathlons and running events. In my thirties I kept fit with running and yoga. A skiing accident left my knee in disrepair so after a few years of rehab, raising small children, teaching and getting my masters degree I was quite out of shape for the first time in my life. In 2011 I did my first WOD at Rare Crossfit after being convinced to give it a try by Adam and Lee. I had been watching along with all the other soccer moms for at least a year as my children played soccer at the shared facility. I immediately fell in love with the community, the varied workouts and the intensity. I saw results quickly and over the past five years Crossfit has improved my life in too many ways to list! I am a Stafford County Special Education teacher and parent of two great kids. I love to help others discover their potential through Crossfit!
